250 Gallon Propane Tanks

This size tank is primarily used in a residential application for home heating, water heating and cooking. In warmer climates, this is the most common size tank and is designed for use under a normal load. For homes that are large and have higher energy consumption demands, it's probably best to go with a larger tank size.

When 80% filled, which is considered full, this size tank will hold 200 gallons and will provide approximately 18,266,000 BTU. Typical exterior dimensions are 30" by 93" and the empty weight is between 650 and 700 pounds. This type of tank can be installed either above ground or underground.
