50 lb Propane Tanks

The 50 pound propane tank is one of the largest cylinders sold for consumer use, the 100 pound tank being the largest, and is designed to be used in a vertical position. Typically around 40 inches in height with a 15 inch diameter and holds 11.4 gallons of propane. The weight of the tank when full is approximately 90 pounds.

This type of tank is used for heating, cook stoves, barbecues and other general use. 50 and 100 pound propane tanks are only sold in steel construction.
