500 Gallon Propane Tanks

The 500 gallon propane tank is used in multiple applications. If you have a large, all propane home, this would be a good choice. Also used in industrial or commercial applications, the large capacity is great for restaurants that use propane grills and ovens and roofing companies frequently use this size tank for heating tar for large projects. Also a good choice if you have warehouse properties that need to remain heated in the winter.

Another good example for using 500 gallon propane tanks is for homeowners that prefer the convenience of having larger storage capacity, allowing higher volume purchase which will normally save you on your cost per gallon.

BTU for this size tank at 400 gallons, or 80 percent full, is approximately 36,532,000. Exterior dimensions vary depending on manufacturer and style chosen and the empty weight is around 1100 to 1200 pounds. This type of tank can be installed above ground or underground.

Considering buying a home in an area not serviced w/natural gas. May need for residential heating as well as cooking/clothes drying.
This is my 1st request for information and I do not know whether to buy new or used.
